cbs1About a year into my tenure at CBS, I was tasked with being the social media lead for Chicago’s local news and music stations, which at the time included Channel 2 WBBM-TV, WBBM Newsradio, 93XRT, B96 and more.

I helped execute corporate’s social media strategies, came up with unique strategies for Chicago’s properties, and helped train staff and personalities how to post to official CBS accounts and how to grow their own accounts.

The digital world is in constant change, that fact is both what is hardest about maintaining social accounts with hundreds of thousands of followers and what interests me most about the field–that change ensures I won’t be bored.

Social media is a never-ending mystery, forcing managers to constantly try new things, to continuously pore over analytics and do their best to have fun.
